The technology for making fabric jewelry is quite complex and requires special knowledge and practice. But even without knowledge and special skills, you can make flowers with your own hands – just a little patience and desire. Let your flowers not be made as professionally as florists do, but your loved ones will surely be happy with such a gift.

Before you begin, you will need scissors, a sheet of paper, a marker or pencil, a candle, matches or a lighter, a few pins, and a piece of cloth.

For the manufacture of poppies, it is better to take satin, for peony and roses, delicate chiffon or viscose is best suited.

It will be easier for you if you have a good example – a live or artificial flower. Pay attention to the shape of the petals, legs, leaves of the plant. To make a fabric flower more similar, you can disassemble the real one by petals and outline their shape on paper. If there is no plant, then you can draw from memory. Attach a transparent fabric to the template and cut along the contour.

Depending on how many petals you prepare, how lush your flower will be. If it is difficult to make a stencil from memory, practice on a simple example, make all the petals round – cut circles of various sizes.

To make the petals more like real ones, they should be slightly bent. To do this, light a candle, match or lighter and gently melt the edges of the circles. For convenience, you can use tweezers, especially if the flower is not large. Fold the prepared petals one into the other and carefully connect – sew or pin with a pin. The core of the flower can be made from beads, buttons, beads, or ordinary threads can be used.

Such flowers can be sewn to clothes, decorate a tablecloth or curtain with them. In the same way, you can decorate a hairpin – glue a piece of felt or other dense fabric on the underside of the flower. It will hold its shape better if you saturate the bottom petals with glue and let them dry.

Flowers are amazing creations of nature, each of which is unique in its own way. You will never meet two exactly the same plants, so do not be afraid to make a mistake. Making a flower that is completely identical to a fresh one is very difficult, but if you practice, you will definitely succeed no worse than professional florists.
