Iberian or Iberis (Iberis lat.) belongs to the genus of herbaceous plants. The Iberian plant has chosen to inhabit the rocky places of the Crimean Mountains, the Caucasus, the lower reaches of the Don, some representatives of this genus are found in the vastness of Asia Minor, as well as Southern Europe. A plant in the form of rounded pillows, the flowering period falls on April-May, at which time the lilac-white flowers look like freshly fallen snow.

This is a one-year-old plant, capable of developing in height from 10 to 40 centimeters, on erect and ribbed stems, which has elongated wedge-shaped blunt leaves. Its paniculate inflorescences are very similar in shape to umbellate. The fruit of the bitter Iberian is a rounded and like a pod compressed on the sides.
In the wild, it is distributed in the vastness of Southern and Central Europe, in the Caucasus, as well as in the southern part of Ukraine. Often Iberian bitter is cultivated as an ornamental plant and is intensively used as a medicine.
