Soil Type: The soil should be rich in nutrients. The most important thing is to ensure good drainage.

Watering: The soil should always be moist. Abundant watering is required during intensive growth and flowering.

Fertilizers: Top dressing should be applied in early spring.

Reproduction: Corydalis is a plant that mainly reproduces by division. It should be propagated after it has faded. Divided sprouts must be transplanted immediately. Reproduction is also carried out by planting seeds. They should be planted in spring in nutrient-dense soil.

Planting: If you decide to grow these magnificent flowers in the garden, then you need to plant them in the spring. Planting depth should be about 7 cm, and the distance between plants from 10 to 12 cm. If growing indoors, you can plant them in the fall and take them out into the garden in the spring. When planting, add some organic fertilizer to the soil. If perennials were first grown in containers, then when transplanted into the garden, they should be planted at the same depth as they were previously grown. Mulching the soil with a 7 cm layer of organic compost will have a positive effect. Once the plants are planted, water them to keep the soil completely moist.

Pests and Diseases: There are no serious problems with this plant.

Application: used for medical purposes. Known pharmaceutical properties of the plant, which allow it to be used as a sedative and tranquilizer. Often used in the treatment of diseases of the central nervous system. Corydalis Marshall is widely used in medicine. In the garden, the Corydalis flower is used for decorative purposes.

Extra: Sometimes these perennials can grow in the garden for a short time and die after flowering, but be aware that they will sprout again next year. In late winter, cut off any dead or extra stems.

Corydalis yellow – Corydalis lutea

As the name implies, this plant has yellow flowers. Corydalis yellow blooms from May to September. Does not tolerate hot and humid summers. It is used mainly for decorative purposes to decorate shady areas of the garden.

Corydalis dense – Corydalis solida

This variety is very easy to grow at home in pots. Corydalis dense has a light pink shade of flowers. The leaves of this variety are painted in a grayish-blue color. The flowering period in natural conditions is from late spring to summer.
