Large and bright flowers of various shades, delicate aroma – all this is characteristic of tropical diplomacy. This coquette comes from the tropics, it is also called the mandevilla. Diplomatic care prefers specific, she needs care and attention. It is its origin that dictates its own rules for growing. Under natural conditions, diplatia prefers well-lit areas with a high level of moisture. Therefore, at home it is necessary to place flowerpots with a plant only in the bright parts of the apartment, to organize proper care from the first days.

This creation is great for decorating warm and bright loggias, balconies, large halls. If there is little light, then the decorative effect of the crown will quickly be lost. Therefore, it is not recommended to purchase this coquette if you have a lack of lighting at home. It is better to pay attention to other flowers, the Decembrist or bright guzmania are much better suited for such premises.

What does the tropical coquette prefer?

Home diplomaticia loves a warm microclimate and care from the first days of its appearance in the house. It is desirable to keep the temperature at the level of + 18-21. Watering at this time should be plentiful, moisture is added as the top layer dries by 2-3 cm. No more than 2-3 waterings are required per week, warm water is taken for this. In winter, the conditions differ from summer ones, the temperature will be enough at +12 heat, the amount of watering should be reduced. Such a period of rest is considered the most acceptable.

Ideal conditions for keeping this tropical beauty at home are special glass showcases. Cyclamen, which is easier to care for, violet or crassula do not need such conditions, but such designs are preferable for tropical plants. To create the required microclimate at the bottom of such an aquarium, you need to put a tray with small pebbles and a small water level. The pot is placed on top, but in such a way that it does not touch the water. It is necessary to put the container in a zone of excellent lighting, but make sure that the direct rays of the midday sun do not fall on the plant. You can install additional sources of artificial lighting nearby. Such a glass aquarium will become a real decoration of your home, and the diplomaticia flower will feel great in it.

This creature is quite resistant to various diseases. Most of the problems that may arise are related to improper care. Most often this is a lack of light, watering, lack of proper temperature conditions. In the latter case, diplatia may not even enter the flowering period, since a temperature of about 12 degrees Celsius is required to lay flower buds. But when the first buds appear, it must be increased, otherwise they will fall off. There is another nuance that needs to be remembered. The tropical coquette belongs to the kutrovye, and this is a group of plants poisonous to humans and animals. All parts of the plant contain poisonous cell sap. But it will not harm you if you use gloves when transplanting or pruning.
